Klaxons – bringing nu rave to the front

The mix of indie, techno and general ‘klaxonness’ is something very rare amongst today’s popular manufactured bands. But catching quickly.
Their album ‘Myths of the near future’ brings together the new sound created by three lads who can only be described as the original ‘nu ravers’ setting the scene for bands to follow. The album is men as a kind of story to follow with the lads being noted to say it is meant to be listened to the whole way through. With one track leading onto another it is understandable as the whole album is complementarily futuristic.
Admittedly though it is hard not to set the well known tacks to repeat to ‘bop’ to over and over again with the likes of ‘Golden Skans’, ‘Atlantis to interzone’ and ‘Gravity’s rainbow’ featuring on the aptly futuristic album.
Reaching mainstream Klaxons have become very popular appearing on such shows as the Friday Night Project (where their choice of outfits were noted s rather interesting, how can Justine Lee Comment after performing as tom Jones), and regular interviews.
Album artwork was done also by Simon Taylor and Jamie Reynolds members of the bands to add to their quirky side, obviously all lyrics were written by the band with support on the drums.
